Summer Reading 2015

Slogan with Characters

Kirklin Public Library is super excited to launch the 2015 Summer Reading Program “Every Hero Has a Story!” A special kick-off celebration will be held Friday, June 5, from 4-7pm on the green directly to the north of the library. The “Touch a Truck” event will include plenty of vehicles for children ages 12 and under to climb inside and see what it’s like behind the wheel! This event will also include face-painting, balloon sculptures, and registration for summer reading.

Summer Reading will run from June 5 to July 17 for children in Kindergarten-6th grade. An ending celebration and grand prize drawing will take place on July 24. Story hour will take place on Thursdays at 1pm for preschool and 2pm for elementary. Children who participate in the summer reading program will win prizes for every 5 days of reading and be entered into the Grand Prize drawing!!

The library is open on Mondays & Wednesdays from 12pm-7pm, Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10am-5pm, Fridays from 12pm-5pm, and Saturdays from 10am-3pm. We look forward to seeing you!
